Looks like a Donkey Kong clone.
Mr. Hellman…..that just made me laugh out loud at my desk here at work.
Now everyone is looking at me funny.
Well played sir.
Seriously though, if I had a dollar for every comment I’ve seen on gaming blogs that just give Braid a one sentence dismissal……I’d have like $38.67 after taxes.
I just feel bad for those people.
Hello Jonathan,
I’ve had a major issue with Braid, which caused my save games to be deleted. I’m playing Braid on two consoles, moving the save games using the memory card. The issue is that sometimes, the game will recognize it as trial mode, when in fact, I’ve purchased the game. Once, I was having issues with the game thinking it’s in trial mode. I moved my saved games to the hard drive to see if that would help, but when I finally unlocked the game, all of the saved games, including the backup, were deleted. I didn’t have a backup on my other console.
I understand that you cannot magically bring back those save games, but I went through 36 puzzles and do not want to go through them again. Is there a mode where you can unlock certain worlds by a code? I don’t care about losing the achievement points.
At worst, it would be best if you could look at the issues between multiple consoles, where the game doesn’t think you have purchased it on console #2. This happens many times and does not just occur the first time after you download the game. It happens afterwards unlocking, the game will go back to trial mode.
Thanks!
93!! Curse you!
I have also been having Acorn’s problem, but without the console swapping. Apparently every time I start up Braid without being connected to Xbox Live, it tells me I’m in trial mode. The Dashboard recognizes I have the full version, but Braid doesn’t. Once I re-download the game, the problem goes away… until I restart the Xbox.
I initially thought it was my Xbox that had this problem – but I’ve only managed to start up Braid ONCE without it reverting to “trial mode.” As you would imagine, this makes it difficult to get any of the secret secrets!
Hi,
I probably shouldn’t write when I’m tired, but I wanted to get it up. Another positive review 🙂

Hi Jonathan.

Maybe you want to post them on your blog.
Greetings, Florian.
Hi Johnathan, I just finished Braid last night and I have to say the last moments are a real eye-opener.
Feel free to add my review of Braid to your round-ups from http://www.square-go.co.uk of which I am features editor.
Thanks again for giving the XBLA store the game it sorely needed.

I second that Joe from Red Ring Circus have his review posted here. Its the easily the best review I’ve read from among several top review sites.

Another one, that’s a review from a Spanish website. It gives to Braid a S ranking (masterpiece).

Thought I’d post my review since it’s a bit of a different approach than most I’ve read – if anyone hasn’t sated their appetite for positive Braid reviews yet.
